She amazes me

Hello lovely people 🙂

Again, I disappeared!

But don’t nobody care about no explanation, right?

Right, so I’ll just jump right into it.

Did I watch the last two episodes of The heirs? No… And that shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been following this blog for quite some time. But I really wish I did though. I really wanted to review it, but as I got busy I just couldn’t seem to fall back into it. It’s been over two months!

Honestly though, I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Because the same writer that wrote Secret Garden wrote The heirs as well, I do admit that my expectations were a bit high. I shouldn’t have thought that way. Also, I couldn’t help but feel that the story reminded me a lot of Boys over flowers, just a depressing version of it though. And the main female character….

I must admit, I’m tired of weak female leads. I’m tired of girls being dragged left and right by these overly dominant guys. If you have something to say, say it! Don’t get dragged along by a guy you don’t even like only to be harassed so much that you eventually fall in love with him? I mean, seriously people! I’m over it, which takes me to the drama I’m currently watching.

Empress Ki. Ha Ji Won never ceases to amaze me. I love how strong she is in every single drama I’ve seen her in. I love how she has a backbone and she knows what she wants. I love how she stands up for what she believes in and doesn’t let some random guy control her. I love it. I love her.

I won’t go into detail, the drama is still airing. I definitely recommend it. It’s outstading…. so far 😉

Till next time

KPOP Music Challenge Day 5 : “This One is All About You”

Love Ya

I have never really been crazy about SS501. I like some of their songs, and some of their solo songs. Initially, I was thinking of “Because I’m Stupid” from the Boys Over Flowers OST, but then again, I know this has got to be the song. SS501 is a group I didn’t pay much attention to until they came out with the BOF song. I remember that I really liked it, and listened to it a lot. Still I had this “avoid Kim Hyun Joong syndrome”, because I really thought his acting was slightly awkward in BOF, and girls were going crazy about him. You know, it’s like those Apple vs Windows biases XD.. I just felt.. He was being overrated. Haha, not that I didn’t like him, I was just not crazy about him, and eventually SS501 had to “suffer” as a whole. I think he is a sweet person in reality, and after watching him in Playful Kiss, my opinions have changed.

When “Love Ya” came out. OMG.. I loved it. It was so cool! Not only the song, but the choreo, the video, just everything. The sound effects in the song, and the music itself is priceless. Whoever uses classical instruments in their songs, seriously: You. Have. My. Heart.

This song is amazing, and I think it’s safe for me to say that it’s one of the best Kpop songs out there. The way the song is divided between the singers is also perfect. Every part matches the one singing, so there’s no “mismatch”. They really shined through with this song, and I saw them as a good and mature Kpop group.

It’s kinda sad that they’re on hiatus now, I wonder what kind of music they would make after “Love Ya”. I guess Park Jung Min‘s “Not Alone” answers that? This song was really nice too, and it kind of had the “Love Ya” vibe to it. Man, does he have a unique voice compared to other Korean singers. Reminds me of veteran Jpop singers.

Day 15~*I was just so happy*

I’m not sure if this is my favorite ending, but it sure is an ending I clearly remember to be good.

A good ending in my opinion is an ending that makes you feel content. An ending that puts all the loose strings together and gives you a peace of mind. That’s what Boys over flowers did for me. I loved how Goo Jun Pyo proposed and how the whole F4 came at the very end, and they were just looking at the sea together Ah, I was just so happy and I felt full! If you know what I mean 😛 Like everything was at its right place! And I didn’t need anything else. I didn’t need a wedding or to see them have kids. Everything was just beautiful as it was. A great ending 😀

And sorry I couldn’t post yesterday! According to the person that shall not be named

I was having a date with my boyfriend (-.-)’

Day 09 ~*Mian*

“If everything can be settled by the word sorry, then why would law and police exist?” – Ji Hoo

Hey! He said it – not me 😛

It was funny how he made Geum Jan Di all dumbfounded! It’s a statement that made me really think and that’s why I liked it :).But the truth of the matter is that saying “sorry” sincerely shows your remorse to the other party and gives them ease. While things like law and police exists so that the person that’s done wrong can get punishment. “Sorry” is not for the offender, but the victim. Ji Hoo, take notes!

Ah…but with a face like that – I’ll believe whatever you say O.O

Day 03 ~*Omg….I love her!*

The only reason why I’m so sure of this answer –> I wanted to watch the female lead more than the male lead. That has NEVER happened before!!

The reason why I liked dramas such as Boys over flowers, Secret Garden, protect the boss and Wild romance is because I feel like the women have some extra UMPH, if you know what I’m sayin! They don’t seem to be easily persuaded and fall head over heels for the guys. Like they have a hint of dignity! Damn, some female leads should really learn from these women!

Anyway, Yoon Eun Jae (Real name: Lee Si Young, also played in dramas such as “Playful kiss” where she played the female third wheel)  is a bodyguard that’s a die-hard fan of a baseball team called Blue Seagull. She lives with her father and younger brother who both share the same passion. They also have a baseball team they hate just as passionately.   After an unfortunate encounter in a karaoke bar, Yoo Eun Jae becomes the bodyguard of the most popular player of the baseball team she HATES. How will she swallow her hate and actually protect him? She doesn’t! HAHAHHAHA. Omg….I love her!

I love how she “pretends” to protect him, but she really doesn’t. I love how she’s such a tomboy. I love how she talks back without necessarily screaming, but her words and looks just KILL. I love how she randomly talks to herself and the way her words are dangerously ironic! I also love how she’s his BODYGUARD, yet she BEATS him up!! She pretends like he’s in danger just so she can throw him on the ground and stuff. LOL! In previous dramas I’ve known her for being such a beauty with dresses and high heels, but this girl totally transformed and that surprised me as well. Gosh, she’s so lovable!

This goes to all my fragile female lead characters that need that extra UMPH. Yoo Eun Jae will teach you well. 😛
