She amazes me

Hello lovely people 🙂

Again, I disappeared!

But don’t nobody care about no explanation, right?

Right, so I’ll just jump right into it.

Did I watch the last two episodes of The heirs? No… And that shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been following this blog for quite some time. But I really wish I did though. I really wanted to review it, but as I got busy I just couldn’t seem to fall back into it. It’s been over two months!

Honestly though, I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Because the same writer that wrote Secret Garden wrote The heirs as well, I do admit that my expectations were a bit high. I shouldn’t have thought that way. Also, I couldn’t help but feel that the story reminded me a lot of Boys over flowers, just a depressing version of it though. And the main female character….

I must admit, I’m tired of weak female leads. I’m tired of girls being dragged left and right by these overly dominant guys. If you have something to say, say it! Don’t get dragged along by a guy you don’t even like only to be harassed so much that you eventually fall in love with him? I mean, seriously people! I’m over it, which takes me to the drama I’m currently watching.

Empress Ki. Ha Ji Won never ceases to amaze me. I love how strong she is in every single drama I’ve seen her in. I love how she has a backbone and she knows what she wants. I love how she stands up for what she believes in and doesn’t let some random guy control her. I love it. I love her.

I won’t go into detail, the drama is still airing. I definitely recommend it. It’s outstading…. so far 😉

Till next time

An emotional rollercoaster…

olala olala olala olala ~

There is no need for oxygen masks anymore, I can finally breathe on my own! You see, I have gone through some serious issues lately. Soul and myself were talking about the group Ulala session. All of a sudden I got this weird tune on my tongue and I started singing it out. I was sure I had heard it somewhere and as always Soul laughs and thinks I’m crazy! Which I am not! I’ve been tested…

Anyway, I found the song yesterday!! Oh happy day!! It was none other than Block B – Action. I am hereby giving you the olala disease. Let’s see if you can dodge it!

Look at me, running around way off in a jungle somewhere! Despair not dear reader, this post has a purpose! I finished watching Queen Inhyun’s man last week….

When something is trending in Korea…. It really is trending in Korea! I don’t know if that’s a positive thing or not. One drama comes out where the main character goes from one era to another and all of a sudden there comes more and more dramas like that! O.O Well, this girl right here is not complaining! I think that Queen Inhyun’s man is a good drama. I liked the concept where he could actually go back and forth in time. That was actually a bit intriguing, but also stressful. For some reason I always wanted him to come back to 2012. Whenever he went back to the Joseon dynasty; I was bored -___-

In my opinion, it’s not a drama that will make you lose your sleep…. well at least I didn’t! But it’s definitely a drama I recommend because it does have funny and loving aspects. I guess as someone who has seen a wide range of korean dramas, I just want more these days! It was by no means bad in any way! I just remember being tired when it ended. Not tired of the drama, but mentally! Especially the last episodes are like a rollercoaster. I was so attached to the female lead’s emotions that I laughed when she laughed and cried when she cried. At the end I couldn’t even keep up with her emotions anymore! I might be exaggerating, actually I very well think I am, but I’m weird like that…

I was happy to see that Yoo In Na was the female lead. She’s so cute! I always wanted her to be a lead so I was happy to see that 🙂 Her crying scenes were WICKED!! I mean, dang!! It literally broke my heart because it looked so genuine! Well done!

I would say that this is a drama you can definitely watch, but you can definitely not do so as well. Both options are open 😛 If Secret garden rates a 10, I would give Queen Inhyun’s man a 4+ ….

During these rough times where we struggle with our final exams… I relieve my stress with dramas 😛

I just finished watching KING 2 HEARTS today. Ah. I have a love – hate relationship with my feelings when I finish a good drama. I have mixed feelings of being fulfilled but still empty, if that makes any sense at all! It’s like I’m fulfilled because the drama reached my expectations and went beyond them, but then again I feel empty because it ended and I’m hungry for more? I think that’s approximately how I feel.

I hate it when people spoil good dramas for me, so I won’t do that for the ones who haven’t seen this drama yet. But I will say this though; I loved it! I honestly feel like this drama touched every aspect of human life when it comes to emotions. The drama had tension, fear, love, laughter, tears, trials, trust, and so much more. I started the drama expecting something totally different then what I was served. The first few episodes confused me because I didn’t feel like the drama was going to come to my liking, but it changed so drastically! I feel like the first episodes contain information we need later in the drama so you might get a different impression at the very beginning, but you just don’t know what it has in store for you!

Lee Seung Ki amazed me to no end! I already knew that he was a very talented individual, but it was the first time I saw him in such a mature role and he filled those big shoes like no other! Ha Ji Won has the same super woman image going on in this drama like she had in Secret Garden, and let me tell you this, had I not known how girly and fragile this girl is in real life, I would totally have believed that she was as bad ass as she portrays to be! It’s all because of her exceptional acting!

All in all, I enjoyed every second. Another great drama has ended. I watched it well… 🙂

Day 01 – “I own it”

Challenge: FAVORITE SONG OF 2011

When your heart skips a beat, when you somehow forget to breathe, when you don’t know if it’s day or night…..

That’s basically how I felt when I heard this song for the first time. It was in the OST of Secret Garden and I…. I lost myself O.O I felt so moved by the song and for some reason I wasn’t paying attention to what was going on in the drama, I was completely focused on the song and the lyrics. A masterpiece…

A good song for me is a song that I can somehow paint a picture to. It reminds me of all these different things, and even though it’s not a happy song, it doesn’t make me sad. Just memories.  A good song is also a song that somehow becomes my own. It’s so close to me. I seriously feel like I own this song. Like… I really own it! Somebody needs to give me money for the copyright….

I’m being serious…

Still serious…

Music Meme : Day 27

Wedding Dress by Taeyang
Aaah.. seriously.. I love this song. I probably want to learn to play tons of songs on the piano, but this probably peeks out among the others the most as of now. Taeyang ❤

This song has been my ringtone since it came out in 2009.. like seriously.. hahahaha

The girl in this music video is so pretty! AND….OMG! MOMENT OF REALIZATION!!!
She looks so innocent here! She’s Baek Seung Hee. She plays “Chae Rin in Secret Garden, and Cha Bong Sun’s “friend” in  Me too, Flower!

Okay, I just need to process this..

She’s good! I could never associate her with the innocent looking girl in this MV, to those “annoying” characters she has played. Very versatile. Good going!

Music Meme : Day 4

Aaah.. actually this one is quite easy. Like I have several songs that make me happy, I also have several for this one.. Well you know.. can’t live like a stone now can we? 😛

Today’s pick is however “That Woman” or “That Man” by Baek Ji Young!
Ayy ayy aayy this song is so precious. The reason it makes me sad, is probably because I think back about Secret Garden. I was sad for 3 days after I finished the drama, which I always am after I read or watch something incredibly (and I mean incredibly) good. No shame there. That’s not all there is to it though, this song is sung so perfectly, the emotions are just right.

Aaah this makes me want to re-watch it. Eey! Why did you reappear in front of me SG?! *Sings “Appear” by Kim Bum*

Anyway, Dazzling Snowfall already told you how awesome it is, why you still here? Go watch it!

Day 03 ~*Omg….I love her!*

The only reason why I’m so sure of this answer –> I wanted to watch the female lead more than the male lead. That has NEVER happened before!!

The reason why I liked dramas such as Boys over flowers, Secret Garden, protect the boss and Wild romance is because I feel like the women have some extra UMPH, if you know what I’m sayin! They don’t seem to be easily persuaded and fall head over heels for the guys. Like they have a hint of dignity! Damn, some female leads should really learn from these women!

Anyway, Yoon Eun Jae (Real name: Lee Si Young, also played in dramas such as “Playful kiss” where she played the female third wheel)  is a bodyguard that’s a die-hard fan of a baseball team called Blue Seagull. She lives with her father and younger brother who both share the same passion. They also have a baseball team they hate just as passionately.   After an unfortunate encounter in a karaoke bar, Yoo Eun Jae becomes the bodyguard of the most popular player of the baseball team she HATES. How will she swallow her hate and actually protect him? She doesn’t! HAHAHHAHA. Omg….I love her!

I love how she “pretends” to protect him, but she really doesn’t. I love how she’s such a tomboy. I love how she talks back without necessarily screaming, but her words and looks just KILL. I love how she randomly talks to herself and the way her words are dangerously ironic! I also love how she’s his BODYGUARD, yet she BEATS him up!! She pretends like he’s in danger just so she can throw him on the ground and stuff. LOL! In previous dramas I’ve known her for being such a beauty with dresses and high heels, but this girl totally transformed and that surprised me as well. Gosh, she’s so lovable!

This goes to all my fragile female lead characters that need that extra UMPH. Yoo Eun Jae will teach you well. 😛
