– and so are the decisions we make in life…
Hi *shy face*
It’s been a minute.
Let’s leave it at that.
I felt… inspired, which is why I’m posting today. I finished watching the drama Seoyeong, my daughter a couple of hours ago. It’s a family drama of 50 episodes that aired in 2012/2013. It’s funny how you can read about a drama for years and then just finally get the guts to watch it. Family dramas are an investment! You have to give it more time to shine compared to other shorter dramas. You can’t expect to be hooked right away.
I did though.
This drama is such a lovely story. The message of mistakes, forgiveness, love and understanding is universal. It really pulled at my heartstrings. I love dramas that look at the complexity of human beings.
And the juice of it all, of course, are the cute couples. One thing that I absolutely adore about family dramas is that the main couple’s story is not the only story. We follow other couples that meet, fall in love and have troubles as well. It’s so refreshing. You’re not just let into one household, but many. I love it!
The girl I found annoying became loveable. The man I found frustrating became caring. The woman I found depressing became pitiful and relatable, and the man I found unreasonable I fell in love with.
Sometimes we forget that humans are 4D.
I just saw the last episode of the drama Secret. It started airing this passed fall, but I never came around to watching it. By coincidence I saw that someone recommended it so I decided to give it a chance. It’s been a while since I’ve been this addicted!
The story is about a woman who sacrifices herself for the man she loves only to receive the complete opposite. As the episodes go on the story unfoldes and the layers get deeper. Was this man worth the sacrifice and is this secret worth keeping? In the midst of the dirt a flower blossoms and gives life to a new love, but can they be together? And can they handle the truth that lies behind this unspeakable secret?
Lol, that was my mysterious way of explaining the plot without giving too much away. Trust me, it’s not depressing. This drama made me LOL hard and smile like a fool while shedding some tears. It really pulls on all of your emotions. Every episode left me craving for more which makes me really happy that I didn’t start watching this drama while it was airing. I curse myself everyday for doing that with Empress Ki. The struggle….is real!
I always know a drama is good when after the last episode I end up going to my personal DOA meetings. Yes, for the ones that haven’t heard of it; that’s Drama Obsession Anonymous. You heard it here first. The meeting usually contains of excessive wall-staring.
I have a meeting to attend.
Till next time,
Hello lovely people 🙂
Again, I disappeared!
But don’t nobody care about no explanation, right?
Right, so I’ll just jump right into it.
Did I watch the last two episodes of The heirs? No… And that shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been following this blog for quite some time. But I really wish I did though. I really wanted to review it, but as I got busy I just couldn’t seem to fall back into it. It’s been over two months!
Honestly though, I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Because the same writer that wrote Secret Garden wrote The heirs as well, I do admit that my expectations were a bit high. I shouldn’t have thought that way. Also, I couldn’t help but feel that the story reminded me a lot of Boys over flowers, just a depressing version of it though. And the main female character….
I must admit, I’m tired of weak female leads. I’m tired of girls being dragged left and right by these overly dominant guys. If you have something to say, say it! Don’t get dragged along by a guy you don’t even like only to be harassed so much that you eventually fall in love with him? I mean, seriously people! I’m over it, which takes me to the drama I’m currently watching.
Empress Ki. Ha Ji Won never ceases to amaze me. I love how strong she is in every single drama I’ve seen her in. I love how she has a backbone and she knows what she wants. I love how she stands up for what she believes in and doesn’t let some random guy control her. I love it. I love her.
I won’t go into detail, the drama is still airing. I definitely recommend it. It’s outstading…. so far 😉
Till next time
Wahhh! I’m exhausted!
I’ve been packing like crazy lately. I’m leaving this humble abode to England as an exchange student. I’m leaving TOMORROW 0.0
Needless to say, I have no life at the moment. Which is why the review of The heirs hasn’t been up yet. I haven’t watched the two last episodes. I said I would do it over the weekend – which makes my pants burn up!
I izz a baad gurl!
Forgive me, and wish me luck ❤
Till next time,
I just couldn’t think of a clever title….
I hate the new layout wordpress has for posting posts >.<
And I forgot our username like twice…
I just wanted to point that out.
I’m currently watching The heirs. Most drama lovers are aware of it. The last two episodes will be airing this week. I won’t be able to review it as I’m out of town, but I’ll hopefully be able to do it over the weekend.
I’m excited to throw my two cents in.
I want to start off with an excuse, but let’s be honest… nobody cares!
So I’ve been gone for a good 6 months now. The last post was posted when I ended my spring semester and now I’m writing this post as I’m done with my fall semester. I’ve never been gone for this long.
I blame life.
And I will continue to blame life until my next post 😛
[Dazzling Snowfall] ~
In the sense of being fair and unfair.. certainly not me.. ahahaha.. Dare I laugh it off?
“I have been so busy the past few months, it feels surreal. Buuut.. I think I got the hang of this now, so I’m hoping to come back and post a few times here and there..”
Oh God, why did I claim the “unclaimable”… (Shh that’s a word). See how I got the hang of it all? And see how I posted a few times here and there? I am so talented.. Gosh.. I always knew I had it in me.
Alright then, now that I cleared that off, here goes to a better start~
What’s up guys!
It’s been a while like usual. Sorry for neglecting this place so badly. My university life is so overwhelming that I struggle keeping up with stuff! Siiiiigh..
Let’s hope things change from now on.
I downloaded the KBS World app a while back, and boy am I glad I did. I loveeee having this channel. Especially as a student with no TV at the moment.
So thanks to this app, I am currently watching Good Doctor..
I gotta say, this drama is quite good. I really like it thus far. I really like dramas that have a very realistic story line, yet are unique and unimaginable at the same time. If that makes any sense to you. Joo Won has done such a great job. I knew he was a good actor, but damn….He is doing very very very good. I can’t stress that enough.
The concept is brilliant.. but until I am done, I can’t have a final say on the overall drama.
Do check it out as well! I’ll put up the preview for some insight.
Ciao for now~
Yepp kids.. He’s a doc! ;)..
